Enrico Visani (1938) Là dove il mare luccica / Where the sea - Lot 13

Enrico Visani (1938) Là dove il mare luccica / Where the sea shines (2012) Mixed media on paper, an abstract composition in red, pink and purplish hues, evoking the moving light of the sea. Delicate superimpositions, coulures and textures create a central horizon of green and orange. Signed lower right and dedicated "To Lucio Dalla". Dimensions: 54 x 44 cm (with frame). Enrico Visani, an Italian artist born in 1938, has been developing a pictorial research based on color, transparency and the emotional resonance of interior landscapes since the 1960s. His works oscillate between lyrical abstraction and suggestions of Mediterranean landscapes. He has exhibited in several Italian and European galleries devoted to contemporary art, notably in Bologna, Florence and Milan. Some of his works have been shown in institutional spaces such as the Palazzo d'Accursio in Bologna and the city's Galerie d'Art Moderne. The dedication to Lucio Dalla, the great Italian musician, lends this piece an intimate and cultural dimension.
