Pair of cut-crystal perfume bottles, openwork brass/bronze m - Lot 106
Pair of cut-crystal perfume bottles, openwork brass/bronze mounts with foliate decoration, hinged lids lined with glass miniatures, painted cabochons, with textile-lined interiors. Palais-Royal style, France, late 19th/early 20th century. Each bottle is encircled by an openwork metal cage resting on four scrolled ball feet. The collars and lids are embossed with beaded friezes and foliate motifs in the style of Parisian showcase objects (circa 1880-1910). The lid cabochons contain small scenes painted under glass, now very muted, typical of these toiletry souvenirs combining crystal and decorative mounts. Dimensions: Height 10 cm; 7 x 7 cm each. Metal wear and oxidation, one slightly deformed lid lip, very faded miniatures, internal crystal deposits, fragile openings; no major cracks visible on the bodies. REF (internal) : GA3468
