Belgian Brutalist highboard in wenge (20th century) Highboar - Lot 5
Belgian Brutalist highboard in wenge (20th century) Highboard in the spirit of De Coene
Brutalist-style highboard in wenge, featuring a four-leaf rectangular pedestal decorated with square panels featuring concentric circles in relief. The whole unit rests on a brushed metal base, providing a contrast of materials and a visual foundation characteristic of Belgian furniture from the 1970s. The decorative vocabulary, rigorous proportions and graphic front evoke a production in the spirit of De Coene, with no formal attribution in the absence of associated markings or archives.
Circa 1970.
