Belgian artist - painter, draftsman, engraver and photographer - Yvon Adam trained at the Académie de Liège before teaching graphic arts at the Institut communal des Arts décoratifs from 1961 to 1974. Renowned for creating banknotes for the National Bank of Belgium, he is also developing a personal body of work focusing on the female figure. His pure, confident line, combined with an erotic charge subtly suggested by symbolic shadows, makes him a discreet master of contemporary eroticism. His work, notably preserved at the Cabinet des Estampes in Brussels, explores with intensity the modernity and complexity of the feminine.
