Roger Pintens (active late 20th c.) Aigle au serpent, sculpt - Lot 25
Roger Pintens (active late 20th c.) Aigle au serpent, sculpture in wrought iron and hammered copper, slate base, "R. Pintens" signature plaque, c. late 20th c. Decorative sculpture depicting a bird of prey with wings spread wide, holding a snake in its beak. The assembly of fine hammered copper strips and wrought-iron elements creates a textured plumage and a movement accentuated by the wingspan. Mounting on a slate slab offers both stability and contrast. An engraved plaque "R. Pintens" is present on the base and appears to have been glued back on, with no other known documentation on the author. The workmanship and materials probably place this piece in the second half / end of the 20th century. Good overall condition according to the photos; small punctual deformations of slats, slight surface wear and traces of glue around the signature plate; sound base and stable overall. H. 36 cm ; W. 45 cm ; D. 27 cm Ref : EF51
