Enrico Visani Hommage au peintre Jacob Jordaens Le roi boit - Lot 165

Enrico Visani Hommage au peintre Jacob Jordaens Le roi boit (1993) and Portrait du peintre (1993) Pocket set featuring two lithographs by the artist: "Hommage au peintre Jacob Jordaens Le roi boit (1993)" and "Hommage au peintre Jacob Jordaens Portrait du peintre (1993)". Polychrome lithographs, print run exceeding 20 strokes, i.e. 20 colors for each lithograph. Each color requires a separate stone or plate, so the artist orchestrated more than twenty successive passes to achieve the final chromatic richness. This high number of strokes gives the works a depth of tone, a vibrancy of material and a precision of nuance rarely achieved in traditional lithography. This is a print of the highest technical mastery, revealing Enrico Visani's attention to pictorial quality and the fidelity of his homage to Jacob Jordaens. Signed, dated and numbered by hand by the artist. Sheet size: 70 x 49 cm. Lithograph size : 57 x 38 cm. Internal ref.: UFI93
