An icon of Space Age design and the Pop movement, the Pastille armchair is a hemispherical fiberglass shell, designed to oscillate slightly and allow several seating positions. In 1968, the model received the International Design Award (A.I.D.), a distinction that contributed to its international renown. Reissues are still marketed by Aarnio Originals. The model shown, in light blue, features the characteristic black-lipped cut-out in the middle and a circular base.
