Oddmund Vad - "Swivel Chair", 360° swivel armchair, signed and unique model, circa 1970 1990. Structure in stained wood with circular base, inclined circular seat upholstered with a large brown padded cushion (leather or imitation leather), this singular chair illustrates an approach to design in which comfort becomes a sculptural gesture. With its inclined circular shape, Oddmund Vad's Swivel Chair moves away from the traditional armchair to offer an enveloping, almost organic seat, designed for the body as much as for space. Its 360° rotation transforms the object into an observation post, inviting a free relationship with the environment. The armchair rests on a round base that allows full rotation, with a peripheral ring and wooden base. Signed and numbered Oddmund Vad was a Norwegian designer active in the second half of the 20th century, renowned for his furniture creations that straddle the border between sculpture and function.
