Born in Tirana in 1960, Robert Aliaj Dragot is an Albanian visual artist based between Tirana and Brussels, whose practice combines painting, performance and political reflection. His work questions the memory of the Balkans, identity and social fractures. In this 1999 canvas, he reconstructs the city of Prizren in colorful, almost cubist fragments, like a threatened landscape on the eve of conflict.
