Enrico Visani Tribute to the painter Jacob Jordaens The King - Lot 139
Enrico Visani Tribute to the painter Jacob Jordaens The King drinks (1993)
Frame under glass: 80 x 60 cm.
Polychrome lithograph, print run exceeding 20 strokes, i.e. 20 colors.
Each color requires a separate stone or plate, so the artist orchestrated more than twenty successive passes to achieve the final chromatic richness. This high number of strokes gives the work a depth of tone, vibrancy of matter and precision of nuance rarely achieved in traditional lithography. This is a print of the highest technical mastery, revealing the attention paid by Enrico Visani to the pictorial quality and fidelity of his homage to Jacob Jordaens.
Signed, dated and numbered by hand by the artist.
Internal ref.: UF399
