Roland Delcol (1942) - Figure with mirror - Lot 148
Roland Delcol (1942) - Figure with mirror
Lithograph on paper from a drawing by the artist, depicting a partial female nude in a fragmented composition, blending sensuality and strangeness. The figure, with its play of mirrors and shifting framing, is part of Delcol's characteristic dreamlike, slightly surrealist universe. Subtly modeled in black and white, with a fine, homogeneous rendering.
Signed "Delcol R." and numbered 42/50.
Dimensions: 76 x 54 cm (loose leaf, stored rolled).
Roland Delcol (b. 1942) is a Belgian painter and draughtsman who blends influences from Pop Art and Surrealism. Trained in Brussels and close to Paul Delvaux, he developed a style recognizable by his precise line and fragmented compositions, in which the female figure plays a central role in a universe that is both poetic and offbeat.
