Pair of Sheraton Revival "Quartetto" nesting tables - early - Lot 37
Pair of Sheraton Revival "Quartetto" nesting tables - early 20th century
Two mahogany nesting tables, probably decorated with marquetry fillets forming a geometric pattern on the tops. The base is composed of slender turned legs, known as "spider legs", terminating in saber feet and linked by a curved strut, characteristic of the Sheraton Revival style and Edwardian furniture of the early 20th century.
This set probably comes from a set of four "Quartetto" nesting tables, of which only the two largest survive.
Dimensions:
Large table: H. 66 cm; W. 46 cm; D. 31 cm.
Small table: H. 64 cm; W. 41 cm; D. 26.5 cm.
