Biedermeier-style Rahmenuhr (clock-frame) - Central Europe, mid-19th century
Wooden wall clock with molded gilded decoration, the glass front opening onto a circular enamel dial with Roman numerals. The frame is decorated with rocaille motifs and twisted colonnettes, and the opening reveals the balance wheel.
Mechanical spring movement with spiral gong visible on the reverse. Mirror inside the door.
Dimensions: H. 72 cm ; W. 51 cm ; D. 15 cm.
