Rocking chair in black and brown stained wood, with vertical bar backrest topped by an arched crossbar adorned with the official seal of Amherst College (Massachusetts, USA).
The seal bears the inscription SIGILL. COLL. AMHERST. MASS. NOV. ANG. MDCCCXXV and the motto TERRAS IRRADIENT , accompanied by a radiant sun and open book, symbols of the spread of knowledge.
Natural wood armrests, solid seat, glide base with turned elements and gilded decorative rings.
