Rectangular knotted wool rug with ivory and red background, decorated with three aligned octagonal medallions, surrounded by stylized geometric motifs and framed by multiple finely decorated borders.
Precise, structured decoration typical of Caucasian Shirvan production, with a contrasting palette of ivory, red, black and touches of ochre. An ornamental cartouche with pseudo-calligraphic decoration is integrated into the border.
Bangs at the ends.
