Belouch wool rug, Persian work, 20th century
Rectangular knotted wool rug with a red-brown background, featuring a central elongated medallion with geometric decoration in shades of blue and ivory, framed by stylized motifs and multiple borders with tribal decoration.
The composition is typical of Belouch production (Iran / Afghanistan region), with a narrow, elongated design and a contrasting palette of deep red, blue and touches of ochre.
Label on reverse stating "Belouch" and "tapis persans". Bangs at the ends.
Dimensions: 108 x 53 cm
Used condition, may be slightly missing.
