Suzanne Cocq (1894-1979) - Snowy winter landscape, 1942
Oil on panel depicting a snowy rural landscape, animated by a calm, structured composition. An isolated dwelling and a group of houses are set against a winter backdrop of bare trees, while a winding path guides the eye to the background. The whole is treated in a soft, nuanced palette, conveying a silent, contemplative atmosphere characteristic of the artist.

Her compositions are characterized by a sensitive approach to light and the seasons, particularly in her winter landscapes.
