Set of three antique knives and daggers (XIX century)
Set of three antique knives and daggers of various origins:
An oriental-style dagger (known as a kard), with straight, single-edged blade, decorated at the base with engraved or inlaid motifs, cylindrical sheathed handle.
A large Spanish navaja, folding knife with elongated blade, segmented brass handle and pommel tip, typical of 19th-century Andalusian production.
An Indo-Persian knife (bichaq or pesh-kabz), with a slightly curved blade and handle decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays and contrasting elements forming a geometric pattern.
This set illustrates the diversity of European and Oriental production in the 19th century.
