ART DECO-STYLE LONG NECKLACE WITH FRESHWATER CULTURED PEARLS - Lot 525
ART DECO-STYLE LONG NECKLACE WITH FRESHWATER CULTURED PEARLS Asymmetrical “lariat”-style long necklace, also known as a scarf necklace, composed of small baroque to oval freshwater cultured pearls—known as “rice grain” pearls—in a creamy white, pearlescent shade. Assembled in multiple rows on wire, held together by a double loop of pearls forming a clasp. Adorned with a central element set with a polished red semi-precious stone in a cabochon cut, likely an opaque ruby, spinel, or dyed agate. Dated from the 1980s–1990s, inspired by Art Deco and traditional South Asian jewelry sets. (Internal Ref.: RDAF30)
